Using hundreds of postcards of the Balearic coastline from the Planas Archive, I trained a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), an artificial intelligence tool that generates images of imaginary coastlines. This traces alternative paths through the history of the Balearic landscape, producing a fictional archive of a speculative archipelago.
